生产力这系列作品，关注的是自己家乡——广东省雷州市松竹镇东井村的生活片段，本农村大多数是依靠干农活为止，所以农具是她们是唯一产生工具之一，每样农具的出现是最具备从猿转化为人的一个标志！它代表着生产力，农具的产生与发展演绎出人类社会的发展历史，具有鲜明的时代特征。农具不仅巧夺天工，同时也有造型艺术之美，是人类智慧的结晶。每种传统农具都蕴含着一定的科学技术和文化艺术。这些农具中都折射出民族民俗文化的光芒。
    
    In this work, the artist focuses on the daily life in his hometown-Dongjing Village of Songzhu Town, Leizhou, Guangdong Province. Since people there earn their living by farming, farming tools have been the only productive instruments for them. The emergence of farming tools has marked the evolution from apes to humans. As a symbol of productivity, farming tools, characteristic of times, have reflected the development history of human society since their emergence and in the process of improvement. They are also the crystallization of human wisdom both for its exquisite workmanship and aesthetic plastic arts. Each kind of farming tools embodies some elements about science, technology, culture and art, reflecting the rich folk culture and customs.

周广能
    1987年生于广东雷州，中国美术家协会会员、广东省美术家协会会员、广州院派儿童美术中心艺术总监、2009毕业于广州美术学院版画系，2014年就读于广州美术学院实验艺术系研究生，现生活于广州。
