我的工作是在照片上进行的，照片将视域予以固定，以暴力而粗鲁的方式摄取图像，从而颠覆了人们对世界的认知方式，消解了人们观看世界的通常方法，而我试图通过将照片改造成自身需要的样式，在这里，本身作为暴力手段摄取物质实在而存在的照片退居次要地位，成为我表达观点与思维的载体和手段，而由摄影术的发明所带来绘画的尴尬在罗兰•巴特、苏珊•桑塔格的文字中均有阐述。
    
    My works are about photos. A photo fixes one’s sight, images are taken in a violent and rude way, thus it overturns the form of cognition of the world that people take, which is not a normal one; yet what I do is change a photo to my own form of expression, it becomes my own form and a media to convey my thoughts and views; on the other side, the awkward situation the invention of photography has brought forth has been talked in texts of Roland Barthes, Susan Sontag,.etc.

    袁泽强的大部分作品是在相片上完成的，他并非全凭自主地去创造一个画面，而是在现成图像之上进行再书写，将本身作为暴力手段摄取物质实在而存在的照片退居次要地位，而这种涂改游戏也给他带来了绘画中的自由。在沉静寂寥中，袁泽强把他的绿色种植在这些图像之上，呈现一介没有目标、没有欲望的社会残迹。他们不沉重亦不轻盈，仿若常常萦绕于心的那份疲软虚无。
